CAIRO, June 12 (Reuters) - Egypt's strategic stocks of sugar are enough to cover the country's needs for the next year, Supplies Minister Khaled Hanafi said on Sunday.

His statement followed the first meeting of a newly-established sugar committee that has been asked by the government to come up with a strategy to develop the sector and keep down costs.
