Egypt's strategic wheat reserves stand at over 3 million tonnes and are expected to double with the start of the local harvest in April, a supply ministry statement said on Sunday.
The current wheat reserve level is enough to last at least four months, the statement said.
Strategic stocks of vegetable oils stand at 3.5 months and rice at 3.6 months, it added.
