Egypt's central bank currently has no intention to devalue pound - CBE source

As Egypt faces a dollar crisis, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) says it has "no intention" of devaluing the Egyptian pound in this period, a source at the bank told Aswat Masriya on Tuesday.

Egypt has started to devalue its currency in order to address the shortage of hard currency which is still making it difficult for foreign portfolio and industrial investors to repatriate profits, Investment Minister Ashraf Salman said on Monday.
