CAIRO, Jan 10 (Aswat Masriya) - The Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party has urged the United Nations and human rights organisations to intervene in order to put an end what it called the violations committed against Brotherhood detainees.

"The fascist bloody coup reveals its ugly side day after day," the party mentioned in a statement it released.

The party urged countries and international bodies that defend human rights to intervene in order to stop these violations and hold accountable those responsible for it.

The party said that thousands of detainees are subjected to inhumane treatment in prisons and detention areas to the point that their lives are threatened.

The statement did not mention specific incidents yet cited the health condition of the Brotherhood's Mohamed al-Beltagi as he appeared in court for a hearing last Wednesday.

The Interior Ministry had denied what some media reported of Beltagi's fainting inside the cage.
