CAIRO, June 9 (Aswat Masriya) An Egyptian court sentenced on Monday eight alleged supporters of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood to five years in prison in relation to violence that erupted last November.

The sentenced were convicted on charges of protesting without prior permission in violation of the protest law, destroying public and private property and resisting the authorities.

They were arrested following clashes outside the High Court in central Cairo, which left five people wounded, during the first trial of ousted President Mohamed Mursi.
