An Egyptian administrative court referred on Tuesday an appeal filed by ex-MP Hamdy al-Fakharany to the attorney general, to put President Mohamed Mursi on trial for the incitement of killing and inuring protesters, to state commissioners. 

In his legal complaint, the plaintiff said that the president issued a "void constitutional declaration" that undermined the law as it shielded his decisions from judicial review. He added that the move led to raged protests across the country which resulted in the death of eight people and the injury of more than 1,000. 

The former member of parliament accused supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood, to which Mursi belonged prior to his election, of attacking peaceful protesters with live shots and rubber bullets. 

Fakharany accused Mursi of giving orders to his followers to attack the protesters in an attempt to kill them for disagreeing on political issues.
