An advertisement made by an Israeli institution circulated on social media last week, sparking controversy as some claimed it insulted Egypt's newly-elected president Mohamed Mursi.

“The Children are Ready” starts with an Israeli family sitting on the beach. As the father walks over to the sand-made model of Solomon's Temple, built by his children, he throws a newspaper on the ground with an obvious picture of Mursi on it.

Many found the scene as a direct insult to the Muslim Brotherhood president, forcing Egypt's foreign ministry to order an investigation in the advert.

In response, a Palestinian youth institution known as "Khatwa" made a similiar video directed by Saber Alian. The video also starts out with a family sitting on the beach, except they build a sand model of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the newspaper held by their father says "Mursi, president of revolutionary Egypt".

At the end, the video says "Our children are ready too" in response to the title of the Israeli video.
