Deputy of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, Essam al-Erian, holds Nobel Laureate and opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei accountable for the 2003 U.S. war on Iraq.

In a statement on his official Facebook page, the Brotherhood senior member described the results of the war as "catastrophic on all levels," insisting that all those who set the ground for it must be tried.

"One day, with global reform, the ones politically responsible for the Iraq war will be tried by the International Criminal Court ... along with those who did not reveal the truth about Iraq's real capability to possess weapons of mass destruction in order to acquit it of the allegation. The International Atomic Energy Agency gave the war a reason and a justification, along with its staff and director who represented the U.S. and Europe for 12 years and was not endorsed by his homeland, Egypt; Mohamed ElBaradei. Those people must be tried locally and internationally," Erian said on Tuesday.
