Police go in Alexandria University to disperse students

ALEXANDRIA, April 27 (Aswat Masriya) Egyptian police went inside Alexandria University on Monday and fired teargas to disperse protesting students who clashed with administrative security on campus, an Aswat Masriya witness said.

Students who "support the Muslim Brotherhood" used fireworks while the administrative security responded with fire extinguishers, according to the eyewitness.

The clashes left a number of students and security personnel wounded.

The university head asked for the intervention of the police.
