CAIRO, Nov 30 (Aswat Masriya) Egyptian Ambassador Abdel Rahman Salah al-Din returned to Cairo from Ankara on Saturday in response to Egypt’s decision to tone down relations with Istanbul after accusing it of interfering in domestic matters.

Egypt’s interim government had also asked the Turkish ambassador to Cairo to leave.

Turkey has been one of the main critics of Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi’s ouster.

Egypt’s army ousted Mursi in July in response to mass demonstrations across the country, suspended the constitution and announced early presidential elections.
