CAIRO, Dec 29 (Aswat Masriya) - Protests and clashes that took place on Saturday left one person killed and 29 wounded, the Health Ministry said in an official statement released Sunday.

Several clashes erupted between supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and the security forces inside Cairo's Azhar Univerity where the students set fire to one of its buildings.

Video footage showed smoke rising from the faculty of commerce building. The university has postponed some commerce faculty exams but will proceed with the rest of the exam schedule as planned.

At least 100 students were arrested on charges of "possessing rubber bullets and Molotov cocktails and a bag that contained nails," a security source said.

Azhar University has been witnessing recurring protests against what the Muslim Brotherhood calls a military coup that toppled former Islamist President Mohamed Mursi that followed mass protests against him.
