Egypt’s Petroleum Minister Sherif Hadara said on Wednesday that fuel is available in its regular amount without shortage.

He urged the people not to be deceived by rumors whose purpose is to stir tension and force citizens to store fuel, leading to a shortage.

Egypt has seen long queues of vehicles by gas stations since Monday night.

Hadara told the state television on Tuesday that Egypt is currently “pumping additional amounts of petrol and diesel to meet the higher than average demand.”

He insisted that all parties are exerting their utmost efforts and all those who work in the petroleum sector are working on the ground to end the crisis.
