CAIRO, June 9 (Aswat Masriya) Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab's government submitted its resignation on Monday, a day after former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's inauguration as president.

Mahlab was appointed prime minister in February after the cabinet of Hazem al-Beblawi resigned.

Sisi was sworn into office on Sunday after his landslide victory in last month's presidential race against leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi.
