A prosecutor ordered that former People’s Assembly Speaker Saad al-Katatni be detained for four days on Monday pending an investigation on allegations of insulting the judiciary.

Katatni, who is also the head of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party, was granted the option to pay EGP 5,000 (713 USD) bail and be released on Sunday, but he refused.
