SINAI, Feb 18 (Aswat Masriya) Four Egyptians rescued on Monday from an ice storm in St. Catherine in the Sinai Peninsula have been sent to a hospital where they are now in stable condition, an official from the health ministry said.

An army helicopter headed to the Sinai mountains on Monday, searching for eight Egyptians who had gone missing while hit by an ice storm during a hiking trip in St. Catherine.

Egypt’s army spokesman had said that rescue forces have found four of the missing hikers, including three who were found dead.

The bodies of the three deceased hikers were sent to a morgue on Tuesday. 

One hiker remains missing.
