CAIRO, June 7 (Aswat Masriya) Armed forces closed down Tahrir Square and all the roads leading to it on Saturday in preparation for Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's inauguration.

A security source told Aswat Masriya that the closing of Tahrir was done to prepare the area for celebrations that are expected to be held on Sunday.

Sisi easily won last month's presidential election, defeating leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi.

The former army chief will be sworn into office on Sunday.
