CAIRO, Sept 3 (Aswat Masriya) - At least 3417 have registered for Egypt's upcoming elections since the door opened on Tuesday, the spokesperson for Supreme Elections Committee said on Thursday. 

The door for registration will be closed on September 12. 

Egypt will run its parliamentary elections on October 18 over two phases. The elections will end on November 23. 

Egypt's last elected parliament was in June 2012, however it was discredited due to a high court order annulling the law its election was based on.
