CAIRO, March 4 (Aswat Masriya) Egypt's army chief Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Tuesday that he cannot ignore the "demands of the majority", the state news agency said.
Sisi, 59, gained wide popularity after ousting Islamist President Mohamed Mursi last July in response to mass demonstrations against his rule.
The army chief is expected to win by a majority if he contested Egypt's upcoming presidential election, but he has yet to announce whether he will do so.
