CAIRO, Aug 29 (Aswat Masriya) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed on Thursday Egypt's commitment to non-interference in Libya's internal affairs, despite being "the most affected" by the deteriorating situation in Libya.

Egypt supports the Libyan people and their "legitimate" demands, he said in a meeting with an American congressional delegation at the presidential headquarters.

The minority [in libya] has rejected the results of democratic elections and resorted to violence, violating the "most basic" foundations of democracy which do not allow a minority to impose its vision on the majority using violence, Sisi added.

Egypt believes in democracy and reinforces it, but without destroying nations, he stated.
