President Mohamed Mursi met on Monday with leading figures of the Wasat Party at the presidential palace to discuss the details of a national initiative presented by the party days ago.

The Wasat Party recently proposed an initiative that includes holding a national dialogue on early presidential elections, forming a coalition government and discussing the upcoming parliamentary elections and the Ethiopian dam problem.

Head of the Wasat Party Abul Ela Madi, deputy heads Essam Sultan, Mohamed Mahsoub and Hatem Azzam were part of the delegation that met with the president, a statement for the presidency reported.
