CAIRO, July 3 (Aswat Masriya) - A conscript was shot dead while two officers and another conscript were injured in clashes between security forces and Muslim Brotherhood supporters in Cairo's Helwan on Thursday night, the Interior Ministry said.

The two officers and the conscript sustained wounds from shotgun pellets and facial burns, the ministry said on its Facebook page.

Some Muslim Brotherhood elements hurled petrol bombs on a building for Ein Helwan security forces, causing the building to catch fire, the ministry stated.

Police forces arrested 56 protesters after they attempted to cut the road, fire gunshots in the air and clash with local residents.

Thursday marks the first anniversary of former President Mohamed Mursi's ouster following mass protests against his ruling and demands for holding early presidential elections.

The National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy has urged its supporters to rally on Thursday, with calls for escalating the protest until "the military regime falls".
