CAIRO, Feb 5 (Aswat Masriya) An Egyptian criminal court has adjourned the trial of ousted President Mohamed Mursi and his aides over violence that took place by the Ittihadiya presidential palace to March 1.

Mursi and other Muslim Brotherhood senior members are being tried for inciting the killing of peaceful protesters by the presidential palace in Heliopolis on December 5 in 2012.

The court also adjourned the hearing for the prosecution witnesses until the next session. The witnesses include the chief of the Republican Guards among them.

A hearing session is also scheduled for a tripartite commission from the Radio and Television Union on March 1 to provide its report on footage that it presented to the prosecution as evidence against Mursi and his aides during the clashes.

A lawyer of one of the plaintiffs demanded the testimony of Defence Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on what he knew about the presidential palace events.
