CAIRO, Jan 24 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in Riyadh on Saturday to offer condolences after the death of King Abdullah, Egypt's state television reported.

Sisi headed a delegation of state officials including the Grand of Sheikh of al-Azhar, minister of endowments, minister of foreign affairs and minister of interior.

Sisi's visit to Saudi Arabia to pariticipate in the funeral procession of late King Abdullah on Friday was delayed due to "bad" weather conditions, according to the state television.

He assigned Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb to fly to the Gulf Kingdom accompanied by a delegation of ministers to pay respects to the late king, the state television reported.

The Saudi monarch passed away at the age of 90 early Friday.
