CAIRO, Jan 30 (Aswat Masriya) - The European Union (EU) condemned on Friday the deadly attacks in North Sinai which left at least 30 people dead and 50 others injured.

"These continued attacks undermine Egypt's stability and economic development. The fight against terrorism will remain EU's priority and, together with our partners, we need to jointly tackle this common threat," EU High Representative Federica Mogherini said in a statement.

Mogherini added that the EU "stands by Egypt in its efforts to address the multiple challenges the country is facing."

At least 30 people were killed and 50 others were injured late Thursday in four separate attacks against security installations in the governorate.

In a statement released on Thursday, the United States also denounced the attacks, reiterating its support to Egypt in fighting terrorism.
