CAIRO, Mar 27 (Aswat Masriya) - Army and police forces have arrested 41 terrorist elements in Sinai on Thursday, said an army spokesman.

The armed forces demolished three houses, 28 huts, and 25 unlicensed motorcycles used by terrorists and extremists, said Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Ali on his Facebook page.

They destroyed three tunnels and five tunnel entrances that link Egypt to Gaza through Rafah.

The army also uncovered a warehouse where explosives and TNT bombs are made, the spokesman added.

Egypt's army and police have jointly raided areas in Arish, Rafah, and Sheikh Zoueid in pursuit of terrorist criminals after violence against security personnel in Sinai had significantly increased after the removal of former President Mohamed Mursi from power.
