The Ministry of Health announed it will deploy 1,979 ambulances in various Egyptian governorates and rallying areas in anticipation of June 28 and June 30 demonstrations.
Ambulances in Cairo will be deployed in Tahrir Square, the presidential palace, Abbasiya and Mostafa Mahmoud, the Middle East News Agency reported.
The ministry took all required measures to secure health services starting Friday June 28 and until Sunday June 30, the head of the Egyptian Ambulance Organisation said.
The ministry's plan includes providing ambulances with adequate quantities of all necessary supplies for emergencies, Mohamed Sultan added.
The ministry also specified a number of emergency hospitals in all governorates to receive injured people in case of casualties.
In Cairo, these hospitals include al-Mounira, al-Qasr al-Aini, Ahmed Maher, al-Demerdash, al-Helal, Dar al-Shefaa, Heliopolis, and Mansheyet al-Bakri.
