The National Alliance to Support Legitimacy - the Islamist umbrella group for supporters of ousted President Mohamed Mursi - has called on Egyptians to refrain from paying taxes, among other things, to express their dissatisfaction with what they described as the "coup".

The alliance has released a poster that was published by the Muslim Brotherhood’s official website, listing simple peaceful ways to put pressure on the interim government that was placed by the army that toppled Mursi in response to mass demonstrations last month.

The measures included boycotting certain television channels that they accused of inciting their killing and spreading horrible lies while being owned by the associates of Mursi's predecessor, Hosni Mubarak.

Under the slogan "We will boycott the killers", the alliance also asked citizens to stop paying their bills and government taxes.

"It is not right that they kill us and our children and then enslave us with our own money," the poster said, listing guidelines for how to delete certain channels and a list of the products that should be boycotted for sponsoring these channels.
