SHARQIYA, Feb 20 (Aswat Masriya) An Egyptian policeman was killed and three others were injured in an attack by unknown armed assailants in Sharqiya on Thursday, a security source said, adding that this is the third incident of this kind in the past 24 hours.

Attacks on army and police forces have increased since the ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi last year.

Egypt's army deposed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood in July in response to mass demonstrations against his rule.
