Pro-mursi coalition calls for Friday rallies to commemorate Mubarak ouster

CAIRO, Feb 7 (Aswat Masriya) - The National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy, which backs former President Mohamed Mursi, has called on its supporters to take to the streets for week-long rallies starting Friday.
The rallies coincide with the anniversary of the ouster of former President Hosni Mubarak in February 2011.
Supporters of ousted President Mohamed Mursi have been staging protests since July 2013 on an almost daily basis to voice their rejection of what they called the "coup against legitimacy".
Egypt's army deposed Mursi last July following mass demonstrations against his regime.
"However faces and techniques of deception change, Sisi and Mubarak are two sides of the same coin and are enemies of the same revolution, which is the January 25 Revolution," the alliance said in a statement.
Let us rally on Friday in a grand million-man demonstration across Egypt on the anniversary of Mubarak's ouster, the statement added.
In 2011, former President Mubarak stepped down on 11 February after mass protests that lasted for 18 days against his rule.
