CAIRO, Oct 10 (Aswat Masriya) - Two explosions hit Sharqiya province Friday morning destroying part of the railway tracks in the town of Belbeis and damaging a public transportation bus.

No casualties were caused by the explosions.

Head of Sharkiya security, Major General Sameh al-Kilani, received reports of a blast at the railway tracks extending between villages of al-Gawsaq and Meet Hamal. The residents also reported the explosion of a bus in Minya al-Kamh city.

An improvised explosive device (IED) had gone off at the railway level crossing and another at an empty immobile bus.

Political violence has surged nationwide since the military ouster of former Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July, 2013.
