Hundreds of protesters barged into the Freedom and Justice Party’s (FJP) headquarters in Assiut governorate to protest the Muslim Brotherhood’s rule on Monday.

They ransacked the building and torched it.

The protesters demanded that President Mohamed Mursi and Assiut Governor Yehia Keshk step down.

A group of the hardline Islamist group al-Gamaa al-Islamiya marched with firearms from al-Gam’eya al-Shar’eya Mosque and headed to the FJP’s headquarters to defend it after the Brotherhood sought the group’s help.
