Violent clashes between Mohamed Mursi's supporters and opponents in Qaliubiya left 15 injured, a health official in Qaliubiya said on Tuesday.

The two sides clashed in the Atreeb area and fired birdshot at each other, the state news agency reported the official as saying.

The clashes broke out earlier today after Islamist pro-Mursi groups staged a march that ran into an anti-Mursi march.

Security forces intervened and tear-gassed the two sides to disperse them.
