Gold bullion stolen from Egypt's monetary authority

CAIRO, Sept 11 (Aswat Masriya) - At least 14 gold bullion were stolen Thursday night from the monetary authority of Egypt, where coins are being manufactured, the Interior Ministry announced.  

Eight kg of golden artifacts were reported missing as well from the authority's treasury. 

The interior ministry formed search teams to unravel the mystery of the incident, identify the culprits and find the stolen items. 

Finance Minister Hany Kadry demanded tightening up security measures at all authorities belonging to the ministry.
