President Mohamed Mursi has no intentions of calling on voters to take part in a referendum on holding early presidential elections, the presidency said on Tuesday.

The presidency dispelled rumours attributed to a presidential aide on the president's intention to call on voters to cast their votes in a referendum on holding early elections.

The presidency urged citizens to exercise extreme caution when checking some online websites that have been known to spread rumours and false information, the state news agency reported the presidency as saying.

The presidency said yesterday that Mursi will address the nation in a televised speech on Wednesday.

The speech will discuss many details that are vital to the Egyptian public opinion, spokesman Amr Amer said.
