Former Interior Minister Habib al-Adli while on trial - Reuters
Egypt’s Cassation Court ruled on Sunday to grant deposed President Hosni Mubarak’s interior minister Habib al-Adly a retrial in charges of money laundering and profiteering after accepting his appeal.
A criminal court had sentenced Adly to 12 years in prison and fined him four million Egyptian pounds and eight-hundred fifty-three Egyptian pounds for graft charges and nine million and twenty-six pounds for money laundering.
