SINAI, April 27 (Aswat Masriya) Two police officers and a policeman were killed on Sunday in an armed attack in Northern Sinai's Arish on Sunday, a security source told Aswat Masriya.

The security source said that unknown assailants fired gunshots at a police car while it was patrolling al-Samran district in Arish.

The security forces are sweeping the area in search for the perpetrators.

Militant attacks against security personnel have risen sharply in Sinai since the military's ouster of President Mohamed Mursi last year, killing around 500 army and policemen.
