CAIRO, April 4 (Aswat Masriya) Egyptian security forces intensified their measures in Cairo's main squares on Friday morning in anticipation of protests the National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy has called for.

The Islamist coalition which backs former President Mohamed Mursi has called for demonstrations to support the "students' movement".

Army forces and vehicles were deployed along the entrances leading to Tahrir Square in downtown Cairo, the state-run agency MENA reported.

Central security forces were deployed around the Egyptian Museum parameters as well as Simon Bolivar and Ramsis squares.

In Masr al-Gedida, four military vehicles were stationed near the Ittihadeya palace at the entrance of Merghani Street.

Security forces and police vehicles were also deployed near Omar Ibn Abdel Aziz Mosque opposite to the palace.

Violent clashes erupted last Friday between the security forces and supporters of the Brotherhood, leaving five people killed and 11 wounded.

Supporters of the deposed president have taken to demonstrating since his ouster in protest against what they call a "coup against legitimacy".

The military ousted Mursi in July following mass protests against his rule.
