Pro-Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators march in Alexandria - Aswat Masriya

CAIRO, Feb 7 (Aswat Masriya) - Clashes broke out on Friday afternoon in Alexandria's Siouf area between security forces and a group of pro-Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators.

Gunfire was heard in the area.

A number of Brotherhood youths staged a march after the Friday noon prayer, an Aswat Masriya eyewitness reported.

The march comes in response to the National Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy's call for rallying all week long to commemorate the anniversary of former President Hosni Mubarak's ouster.

The marching youths carried pictures of former President Mohamed Mursi and the four-fingered Rabaa symbol in addition to pictures of detainees.

They chanted against Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the army, and the Interior Ministry.

On the other hand, some local residents hung a large banner opposite to al-Qaed Ibrahim Mosque to salute Alexandria's heads of security bodies, the Middle East News Agency reported.
