A recent poll conducted by a public opinion research foundation shows that 61 percent of Egyptians who took the poll are unhappy with President Mohamed Mursi's performance.

The poll was conducted by Baseera, an Egyptian foundation for public opinion research.

The poll showed that only 32 percent of those polled support Mursi as of June 2013 compared to 41 percent who supported him by the end of May 2013 and 78 percent who supported him by the end of his first 100 days of ruling.

Between 15 and 20 June, 6,179 Egyptians who are 18 years or older took the poll, head of the Baseera foundation Magued Othman said.

All the polls were conducted by phone.

Othman added that 7 percent of those polled were undecided over Mursi.

In urban governorates, the percentage of those supporting Mursi fell back to 23 percent in June after it was 30 percent in May. 

When asked about re-electing Mursi in case of holding early presidential elections, 62 percent said they will not re-elect the president, 25 percent will re-elect him and 13 percent will make their decision based on the list of candidates.
