CAIRO, May 8 (Aswat Masriya) - The Fayoum Criminal Court acquitted 14 pro-Muslim Brotherhood members and supporters, including an ex-parliamentarian, after they had been charged with committing acts of violence.

The court acquitted 13 Brotherhood supporters and members who were arrested between five to seven months ago in Fayoum.

The thirteen were charged with demonstrating without a permit, joining a banned group, damaging public and private property, and terrorising citizens, a security source told Aswat Masriya.

The court also acquitted Brotherhood member and former parliamentarian Kamal al-Din Nour al-Din.

Nour al-Din was charged with inciting violence following the clearing out of two Brotherhood sit-ins by force last August.
