SHARQIYA, May 12 (Aswat Masriya) A police sergeant was killed when unidentified assailants fired shots at him in the governorate of Sharqiya on Monday. 

The sergeant was on duty and riding a motorcycle when he was attacked, a security source said.

Investigation units and security forces have moved to the location of the attack to reveal its details and capture the culprits. 

Sharqiya has seen many attacks on security forces since the overthrow of President Mohamed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood last year.
