CAIRO, Jan 2 (Aswat Masriya) - A police and army patrol has killed a terrorist element as he attempted to plant an explosive device in in front of Sheikh Zoueid Hospital in North Sinai’s Kawthar.

The patrol has also arrested 13 people suspected of belonging to terrorist groups during raids on areas in Sheikh Zoueid and Arish, said army spokesman Colonel Ahmed Ali.

Five tunnels connecting Rafah to Gaza and one house that contained an opening that led to a tunnel were demolished, the spokesman added.
