CAIRO, Feb 1 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt's Foreign Ministry is in calls with European countries to suspend airing of satellite channels used by the Muslim Brotherhood as "tools of incitement to murder," the ministry said on Sunday.

The ministry said that it recently became aware of Brotherhood-affiliated channels broadcasting incendiary material, which outspokenly incites murder, through European satellites.

Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri directed Egyptian embassies to take steps towards the suspension of the broadcast.

The Brotherhood has come under attack since the military ouster of its leader Mohamed Mursi from the presidency in July 2013 following mass protests against his rule. The authorities have since rounded up thousands of Brotherhood members and supporters.

Egypt listed the Brotherhood as a terrorist organisation in December 2013 and insists it is behind the stringent wave of militancy which has targeted security personnel since Mursi's ouster. The Brotherhood continuously denies the accusations, distancing itself from one militant attack after the other.
