One killed in Friday protests in Kafr el-Sheikh - health ministry

CAIRO, Dec 12 (Aswat Masriya) - One was killed and three others were injured during a Muslim Brotherhood protest in Kafr el-Sheikh on Friday, the ministry of health said.
The ministry added in a statement that one of those injured was transferred to the International Mansoura Hospital, while the two others were treated on the spot, reported state-run news agency MENA.
Muslim Brotherhood supporters staged protests on Friday decrying the court ruling which dropped charges against ousted President Hosni Mubarak and calling for the release of those facing politically-motivated charges.
The Muslim Brotherhood accused security forces of using live ammunition, birdshot and teargas to disperse protests.
A security source meanwhile told Aswat Masriya that Brotherhood supporters staged a protest in Kafr el-Sheikh with the purpose of blocking an international road, which prompted security forces to use teargas and disperse them.
Brotherhood supporters have been calling for nationwide protests almost every Friday since the military ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July 2013, following mass protests against his rule.
On November 29, a criminal court dropped charges against Mubarak and acquitted his interior minister over complicity in the killing of protesters during the January 2011 uprising which toppled his regime. The ruling was met with nationwide dissent and fueled numerous protests.
