CAIRO, Aug 13 (Aswat Masriya) - Four military personnel were killed and two others were injured when their military plane crashed late Thursday, the army spokesman said.
The plane was used to "chase terrorist elements" southeast of Siwa Oasis, when a sudden technical failure led to its crash, Army Spokesman Mohamed Samir added in a statement.
The statement did not specify the make of the plane.
Militants have stepped up attacks targeting security forces in Egypt, particularly in the Sinai peninsula, since the ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July 2013 after mass protests against his rule.
