President Mohamed Mursi will convene the National Security Council on Monday to discuss Egypt’s latest domestic affairs, reported the state news agency.

The council, which groups the heads of national institutions, will meet in light of mass demonstrations expected to take place against the Mursi administration on June 30.

The purpose of the protests, organized by an anti-regime campaign known as “Tamarod”, is to push for a no-confidence vote against Mursi and call for early presidential elections.
