Local anti-harassment initiatives announced on Sunday that they would participate in the June 30 protests, which are aimed at toppling Egypt's Islamist President Mohamed Mursi, to monitor incidents of sexual harassment or physical assaults.
Several political powers and movements have called for peaceful demonstrations on June 30 to demand overthrowing the regime and holding early presidential elections.
"Fouada Watch" and "I Saw Harassment" initiatives plan to assemble tents outside the presidential palace on the day, in order to carry out quick interventions when incidents of harassment or assault are reported.
