CAIRO, March 23 (Aswat Masriya) A bomb squad defused on Sunday two bombs that were located inside Cairo University, state television reported.

The two bombs were found on campus inside the faculty of economics and political sciences, deputy security director of Cairo University told satellite channel ONTV.

It was not possible to attain further details.

On Wednesday, violent clashes erupted in Cairo University between security forces and students supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, leaving 40 people wounded.

Repeated attacks and use of handmade bombs increased since the army's ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi last summer following mass protests against his rule.
