CAIRO, June 14 (Aswat Masriya) Two defendants will stand trial this Sunday over a sexual assault that took place in Heliopolis during last week's celebrations of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's inauguration. 

The defendants are also accused of attacking a police conscript who had tried to help the harassed women, a prosecutor said.

The attackers were then arrested, with the help of passersby, and handed over to the authorities who opened investigations into the case. 

Investigations have revealed that the two men attacked the conscript while he was on duty and harassed the women. 

The trial follows a shocking group sexual assault that took place on the same day but in Tahrir Square.
