CAIRO, Nov 30 (Aswat Masriya) Egypt’s prosecutor-general has ordered an investigation into a legal complaint filed by six political activists who say they were sexually harassed by police forces last week.

The female protesters, who all belong to the April 6 youth movement, said they were beaten and sexually harassed by police forces at the Shura Council protest on Tuesday.

The protesters were then thrown out of a vehicle on a desert road in the outskirts of Cairo at an early hour on Wednesday morning.

Hundreds of protesters rallied by the Shura Council building on Tuesday to denounce a constitutional article that allows that civilians be tried by military courts.

Police forces dispersed the protest for not obtaining permission beforehand in accordance with a new disputed law.
